welcome!
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about RISE Initiative and what makes us unparalleled.
Founded in 2017 during the civil unrest that swept the country, racial and economic reckonings that shifted our culture, RISE sought to ensure that the most marginalized communities in Central Florida were supported. By identifying key markers that seemed to keep resurfacing around us, RISE was able to build thoughtful and meaningful cohort series for local organizations. Quickly, RISE saw the need for very tailored and individual experiences that took into account socio-economics, culture, policies, current market conditions, personal experience, and “leveling” techniques that promote equity.
By working with job seekers, business owners, and local community partners, we aim to address as many of the barriers that keep marginalized communities from obtaining sustainable employment, livable wages and economic benefit. Using a “village” approach, we aim for solutions that are “out the box”, thoughtful and impactful.
the goal of RISE Initiative is to be a place where experience and theory meet.
